How can she have her shikai active and have her sword still sheathed?

Funny, i recall Renji activating his shikai lots of times and still having a sheath. I guess Alicabob just never noticed.

Artist mistake, obviously. Or maybe Soi Fon has a back-up regular sword on her back. Since she's Soul Society's top assassin, I'm sure she carries more than one single weapon.
