Should actually be called "Shadow ball", not energy ball. It technically is an energy ball, but the technique being used is shadow ball, and the technique actually called energy ball would look different.

I thought that odd too, so I did some tag checking to see why it was tagged that way. I'm guessing that by "energy ball" they don't refer to the specific move, it just means that he has a huge ball of energy.
