I believe this is a joke on the fact that Manami-sensei's name is one letter away from Imanami Takahoshi's surname.

Mr. Imanami was the groom of IRL Gold Ship, and was very well liked by him.

Manami-sensei, in the Golshi-chan manga, is left in a similar position, doomed to forever be spouting quick retorts after Golshi does something like making another pact with a demon (she originally did this to win an eating competition), or whatever. And yet, she hasn't expelled kindergartener Gold Ship from her class yet, so I guess it's not all that bad...?

She's definitely a gender-flipped alternate world version of Imanami. Just like how Fumino is Yutaka.
