After some searching I see that discussions regarding this go back years on both the forum and the Discord, yet no one bothered to add this information to their wiki page. Hence why I uploaded these two images to begin with.
You could say that withholding this information is a bit unfairr to other users. Heh...
So they do some fully generated and some "assisted" via painting on ai generated images? Am I understanding that right? That sounds like it crosses the line into being generated and shouldn't be allowed, but I guess Danbooru's allowance on "assisted" is kind of blurry when it really begs of the question of just how assisted by ai they were...
Regardless it really sucks to see they have works on here from over 10 years ago and now they're doing this.
It's situations like these are why I don't usually buy the "they've been doing art for a long time, even before AI was a thing" excuse for other artists whose works are starting to look incredibly sus because the temptation of making things easier for the same/more gains is just too good to pass up for most people.
