I mean, its simply taking the Power Loader from Aliens and putting a Space Marine in it.

yeah, maybe it's because a space marine using it that makes it look more like a baby carrier
when a sororitas uses something similar (Paragon Warsuits) it looks decent.

The Paragon Warsuits are a lot more like Armed Suits from Appleseed/Ghost in the Shell. Its kind of fun trying to spot all the places GW drew from for their mechs and tanks.
