@Jemnite Apologies for the 📜. A few reasons that led me to refrain from posting it previously when I saw it as part of an official post. They do not look like human mistakes. With regards to the gun, I find it hard to believe an official/colabing artist wouldn't be provided enough reference material to avoid these issues. First off the gun is mirrored. The ejection port should be on the right side. This is a pretty easy mistake though, and not indicative of AI on its own. So: Also note the extremely messed up side bipod?? What's that doing. It's just so wrong. Bafflingly so. I don't see how any human would do that based on any image of an M200. And adding some poorly defined melty rails in front of it and on the bottom in front of the carry handle is a choice. The carry handle itself is also very melty especially on the back inner edge. The receiver area also has plenty of mistakes, and there's no bolt. If this was a left handed M200 (which doesn't seem to officially exist and she's right handed in all other official art anyways) it'd be visible, and if it was a right handed one (inconsistent with what's shown) we'd still be able to see it a little. The top rail is incorrectly not raised, melty, and the scope melts into it. The scope is incorrect, bent, and generally messed up in weird ways. The stock is weird, the tube (singular) doesn't connect where they (plural) should and where they are poorly shown on the receiver, and it is generally a little messy. No other official art of her suffers from such issues.
Then there's issues with Cheyanne herself. A lot of the drawing just has inconsistent quality. See the ahoge vs the rest of her hair. The eyes compared to each other. Changes in line quality and technique around her legs, knees, and feet in particular, and comparing them to the rest of her. It changes in ways that don't make sense with typical art methods. The left and right feet and shoes feel like they were drawn by completely different people. There's also some weirdness going on with the hair ribbon, the choker and dress straps and their interaction with her sidelocks and ponytail, the AI-like nonsense on the folds of the bottom edge of dress, and the way the layers of the dress melt together and loop nonsensically in places. Her hands are also pretty strange, her right thumb in particular.
The background is likely 3d models with some filters.
Frankly I think the appeal reason is unjustified and downplays a lot. The gun anatomy is bad in nonhuman ways, isn't the only problem, and each post must be judged on its own. Just because this artist hasn't had AI artifacts pointed out in the past doesn't mean they're immune. This piece has a ton of issues that just aren't present in their prior work that I've looked at. I spoke with Sam who said he isn't really a gun knower approved it based on the opinion of another, who I assert was incorrect and made a hasty judgement in that conversation. If the other approver truly thought it was fine they could've approved it either on flag or appeal. Also MICA is not above using AI in some of their assets unfortunately, so it being official isn't a defense.
