Second hand spoilers for the upcoming in Global Volume EX finale that might not be completely accurate: Decagrammaton returns and takes over Malkuth's body, as it was her purpose since the start. Ein, Sof and Ohr, who saw Malkuth as their big sister, sacrifice themselves to bring Malkuth back so that she may live and experience the world.
The Volume has a fully animated prologue cutscene where Malkuth, going off in a pilgrimage (similar to Saori's), stops by a coffee vending machine in an empty seaside train station before continuing on with her travels.
