Aside from being... unorthodox in cooking...Fontaine seems like a mix of France and Italy so.. there might be some Italian there

That, haggis (Scottish is also British), the Robo Grenadier Guards, the Jack the Ripper subplot, and let's not forget the guy with arguably the most British of names... Wriothesley. (Plus a bunch of other people with very British-sounding names as well)
