    The Pixiv upload here is a much higher resolution then the Twitter one hence the new upload if not obvious.

    The tag history shows that you set post #5963624 as the parent to this post.

    When assigning parents, you don't assign children from the post you're trying to make the parent. You need to add the parent ID to the post you want to be the child. A post can have multiple children, but only one parent. That's why there's just one field for the parent ID.

    If you added it through tags, then adding "parent:A" to post B sets A as the parent to B, not B as the parent to A.

    Given it was the original upload my assumption is I was supposed to make it the parrent, hence me doing that (and my reply, I assumed that’s what was being asked)

    I was saying your upload should be the parent, not the previous one. Yours has a higher resolution than the older post, making it the superior version. It doesn't matter that the other one was uploaded first.
