I just realized that, if a certain gluttonious rival of Equinox were to win the Arima (his retirement race) later this month, he'd join the 6th GI win club too...

    Edit: Well that aged well...

Digitan is probably the only 5+ G1 winner with no aura whatsoever lmao.
Even Buena, Goldshi and Falco was feared and respected by their peers to some degree

Imagine if Digitan was glazed as hard as Tachyon in that BotNE movie.

You do realize that that movie focused on the 2001-gen, not the 2000-gen (Digi, Shakur, Tap), right?

Yeah but she had her Tenno Sho win completely erased to make Opera O invincible? or something?
So they can glaze Agnes Tachyon and Jungle Pocket to high heaven?
Same thing happened with Meisho Doto's Takarazuka Kinen win.

Imagine needing other people's achievement erased just to make a narrative work.

You mean the Tenno Sho that none of the major characters sans Tachyon (already retired IRL by that point) even considered running since the race was held 1 IRL week after their Kikka Sho? That Tenno Sho?

Now, maybe in a perfect world where Kaneko allowed Kurofune to be a real character in that movie, there might've been an entire subplot between Digi and Kurofune over the gaijin 'marugai' Tenno Sho slot. Unfortunately, this isn't the timeline we're in, so that race is completely sidelined in favor of a race the protagonist was actually in.

Do Deuce still managed to win 5 career G1 races, and was the first male JRA horse to win at least one G1 race each year from age 2 to age 5.

Buena Vista (Official design) Although Cesario was Special Week's greatest legacy, being the mother of 3 G1 winners, Buena Vista is Special Week's best progeny with her 6 G1 wins. Similarly to Orfevre, her official design is quite different to her pre-release design.
Lord Kanaloa (Original Design) Curren Chan's biggest simp rival. He was particularly sucessful in Hong Kong, which is where he obtained his "Dragon King" nickname.
Gold Ship (Official Design) Gold Ship needs little introduction by now. A double crown who flubbed the Derby (and both his Japan Cup appearences, for that matter), Gold Ship is infamous for being mercurial and inconsistent. Nonetheless, when everything is aligned for him, he can be the most brilliant of the field.
Maurice (Original Design) Grass Wonder's greatest grandson from Grass Wonder's greatest son. Like Lord Kanaloa before him, he was particularly successful in Hong Kong, winning half of his G1s there. Unlike Lord Kanaloa, he didn't get a cool nickname out of it.
Lemon Pop (Original Design) The newest entry here, the American-bred Lemon Pop successfully did the slow grind to become one of Japan's best runners on dirt at a moment where Japan's pool of runners is getting at it's best. The world might be too far of a stretch, though.
Smart Falcon (Official Design) A front-running marvel, this "Silence Suzuka of the Sand" managed to pull a T.M. Opera O and dominate the field from November 2010 to December 2011.
Furioso (Official Design) A rival to Smart Falcon and all of the 7 G1 winners on dirt in the other page except Admire Don. While Furioso was their peer, this local superstar from Funabashi has never won a G1 in Central. Has an official design since 3rd Anniversary.
Agnes Digital (Official Design) This Jack of all Trades thoroughbred was just as capable on Turf as on Dirt, as his 4 Turf G1s and 2 Dirt G1s can attest.
Orfevre (Official Design) 2011's Triple Crown, Orfevre's later rivals are the equally capable (and insane) Gentildonna and Gold Ship. Orfevre's official appearence from 3rd Aniversary onwards is quite different from the pre-release version.
Equinox (Original Design) The Titan of the World's Turf, The Strongest Pony, The Peerless Lightning-bolt/Eclair... Equinox is the previous most recent entry here and an all-around genius. In spite of having flubbed his classic races, he managed to win his 6 G1 races consecutively.
    BG Kanji: "Peculiarities"
Gran Alegria (Original Design) That "6" marking of her's is apparently prophetic. Of her 6 G1s, five are at the mile. She has, along with many of her rivals, an official design since the 4th anniversary.
