Is it wrong to feel like them killing off Inherit felt more like a testing the waters than anything? The fact they did it to the least popular pilgrims while instantly telling the audience that Pioneer is going to be okay despite what happened to them feels like they wanted to see how people reacted. Couldn't also help but notice that Harran and Isabel's skins are also being reran in the shop.
What really crushes me is Harran's final conversation with Johan.
Harran's life went full circle. She started her story with giving it her all, and then found out she was just one of thousands sent to die a meaningless death. She ended her story with giving it her all, and creating a window of opportunity for her allies. Then went the extra mile to save Marian from Indivilia.
Johan saying "Well done, Goddesses of Victory" was all she ever wanted... Those weren't hollow words born of pity to appease a dying wish. Johan truly appreciated everything they did for Eden.
If I recall well this was because a lot of fans complained about the story "not having enough deaths"?
It was? Damn, I didn't know about a lot other players complaining, but I'd definitely agree with them if I knew they exist before. But even then, I'd only expect it to be just some NPCs deaths like in F/GO or Arknights

FGO with npc deaths? Musashi, Baobhan, Morgan, and a whole list of civilization that are NPCs mixed with the death of story servants like Da Vinci (who's not dead as of now) among many others. Kinda like the avengers and rulers. But yeah, a lot of players complained the story couldn't be taken seriously because it lacked the "drama" and there were no relevant deaths, and now a lot of players are mad about the execution of said deaths. For me it was absolutely unnecessary and rushed too, specially Isabel which felt like "oh well, what now?". It's Jason Todd all over again but without coming back because a lot of fans have negative literature knowledge and can't accept a serious apocalyptic world like Nikke without blood, lots of deaths and a whole more depression, heck, there's a side of CN players that wanted to give Dorothy a new powered up form by witnessing the fall of her other comrades. I wish that last part was a joke but nope
