What does venom even taste like? I know it's not poisonous, but I can't imagine that it'll sit in my stomach very well...

Surprisingly, it's kind of sour-ish.
And no, your stomach can handle it just fine, if it's snake venom. Those are made mainly of protein, so your stomach can digest them just like milk...as long as you don't have any open wounds in your GI tract.
