tbh I hugely dislike her design. Just because her IRL class (404 never was completed) was the biggest at their time doesn't mean the ingame counterpart needs to be too. Just look at KanColle and how they managed their subs. That is actually good and simple design. Not stupidly flashy like AL.
There're plenty of examples that big boats don't need oversized tits. The Queen Elizabeth, her sisters, Nagato, Mutsu a couple CVs like Saratoga and more.

And yes, I complain about that on a adult imageboard.
I every survey they did I wrote to please not F up the i-400 class and here they did.

We have HAD an SSV but I guess everyone forgot about her. I-13, forgotten aircraft carrying submarine.
