It is actually harder to find ANY Hoyo character without any kind of tragic backstories. So far it seems only Klee does.
Also, Alice is actually capable of wielding multiple fencing foils, as far as her demo demonstrates.

How is this related to writing? I know that hating on Hoyo is mainstream and popular among miserable and brainless people but damn, didn't know it was that bad

Its more likely because using two rapiers is way harder and less effective than using just one. This also has nothing to do with character writing.

Just give the bunny lass (now having an existential crisis) a two handed estoc. That should (mostly) solve the problem

I don't think criticizing a company with a lot of flaws is enough to insult anyone that hates on it but it's true there's hate directed towards unnecessary stuff.
