Kuro Games is pretty notorious for non-conformity about elements and weapons. In their previous game, there was Vera: Rozen who has the moveset of a DPS but is a healer... or Nanami: Startrail with a sword and shield as well as being the Tank class but with a higher DPS output than some others. Bianca: Stigmata look like she does Dark element damage? Whoops, she's actually Physical element.
It's funny but almost jarring if you're used to guessing element from appearance. Though I do like in some ways that appearance doesn't determine weapon or element. Red lighting is a pretty sick glow up for Lighting over here.
To be fair, Zani being a Spectro unit makes a lot more sense than Augusta being Electro from a glance.
no, when I saw Zani, the spectrum was one of the last things that could have been given to her, they just got out of it by giving her light in the form of an ult, just like here they made the electricity just red
I appreciate that Kuro keeps us guessing, but at the same time I have to question their decision to not have Water as an element.
While I'm on the subject, whatever happened to just calling elements "Electric" or "Wind" elements? (I know that Genshin happened, but still)
Imo, I wish they had doubled down on calling the elements weird stuff in Wuwa. Like, you have Havoc, Spectro and Fusion, but then the others feel too obvious. I wish Electro was called Voltaic or something.
