>making a horse who never even ran a mile (in a dirt race mind you) run a turf race that is more than a mile and a half long
Good luck, 'cause we're gonna need it
Yeah, the end result is inevitable (If you manage to bullshit and lucksack the 0.01% win, you get a brighter ending but... well...) but damn it's tragic. Urara's career is a joy to play, the story and writing is amazing and tugs at the heartstrings so well, but damn this part hurts. I just hit 'Race' and then looked at her fall more and more behind. At the finish line, there was almost a full minute of nothing before she ran past...
At least we get to follow it up by making her the URA Finale champion? That's...good?
Yeah, there is a chance. The endgame JP players have made some builds with 3* Turf and 3* Long, and with some luck, the 2 inheritance could boost Urara turf and long to B or A, then she has a fair chance.
There are total madlads out there who have parents with like 9* sparks in both Long and Turf, to drag Haru Urara's aptitude in both up, then roll lucky during the Inspiration events in April to further increase her aptitude to like B in both.
At that point, assuming you've got top-notch support cards, a further touch of luck with Stamina blue sparks, and some good fortune with rainbows, you'll be in a good position to win the Arima Kinen with Haru Urara. It's not easy, it usually requires deep pockets for sufficiently strong support cards, and you'll need a good amount of luck, but it is doable.
