Sigh... I don't like Appli Monsters. Don't get me wrong, I think it's an okay concept, it's just that the Digimon themselves just feel... off. Like they're more toys than monsters.

Maybe I'm too old-school to appreciate this new thing but give me my Digimon that go from Rookie-Champion-Ultimate-Mega and so forth. Give me awesome creatures that battle in life or death struggles. Give me a group of young adventures exploring a new world and learning from the experience. Give me gratuitous fan-service when the "female" Digimon reach their perfect forms.

Give me Digimon just like it was back in the day, but for a new age.

If anything, they look more like Yokais. I guess they're trying to reach that Yo-kai watch crowd like every other group. Can't blame them really.

I think it's a matter of getting used to it. Sure, some Appmon look really silly, but there are also some cool design (specially on the higher levels). The anime is not going bad either. The premise has potential, we just have to wait and see how it goes
