true, but buying two consoles that share a good 80% of their library hardly seems like a good investment. Also since you don't know everyone's financial situation it's pretty naive to think that just because someone has a job that automatically means they can afford a ps3 and a 360.

That's true..you got one thing right.
However, you see...there's these magical mythical things called 'life financial responsibilities' which include bills and other big scary grown up duties that makes owning two or more consoles not really worth it. So we adults buy only ONE console and whenever that money tree that you have grows in your backyard pops up in OUR yard. We can pluck the 200 or more dollars to buy a 360Wii.
Now contrary to what you might think....and I know it might be very hard for you, this is called 'real life'.
It's a boring game I know, but it's one we all have to play, give it a try sometimes.

Honestly these guys never follow any sort of visual logic. All they care about is the sex appeal with their female characters, and I find Ayane to look plain ridiculous in this game compared to DoA4.

I insist that they haven't gotten smaller in the DoA games. They're just much more free and on display in this costume.
Also I wouldn't even acknowledge the guy trying to tell people they're making excuses for why they can't own everything they want, he's either a troll, someone who had money come easy to them and therefore have an extreme ignorance to the workings of the world, or 12 years old.
