It's ok. Both of their grandfathers served on the same side anyways.
Oops, looks like at least 10 people can't face the truth. (No surprising for the downvotes, but there's nothing to hide about. For the sake of anti-Soviet and anti-Russian sentiment, it's reasonable that some Eastern European countries idolize Nazi collaborators. After all, deep down in the hearts of some "noble civilized Westerners", those "East Slavic barbarians" were even more evil than Hitler.)
What, what does that even mean dude? If Ukraine is not strategically important, why is Russia even still there?
It's a sarcasm Dude, to a common cope phrase; Bahmut, Vuhledar, Andriivka, Kurakhove, Velika Novosilka, Sudzha (Kursk), etc., all become: "never strategically important" only after they fall, you get the idea.
Many Ukrainians in the west of the country, specifically Galicia and Volhynia, did collaborate with the Nazis, although it was to serve their own means - both higher social status and an independent Ukraine, which is what they actually wanted.
