Mio didn't apologize for using an AI image in that post, she apologized for definitively claiming it was AI and replacing it without having any proof.

No, the artist stated it was not AI-generated after people pointed out that it is. As proof, he revealed the layers of the image on Twitch (He said there that he was going to delete his Twitter account because of the slander).

It should be noted, however, that the evidence presented in that stream was not very clear, and some suspects that it was faked.

He draws a bit on stream as proof, while some suspect the skill demonstrated isn't on par with the final picture.

I read the whole incedent from a news, the news states he said "I won't use AI next time." This may be the news's source. He's probably be saying "I will not use AI for the picture from now on / I'm going to show". I may be mislead by the news.

There are a lot of minor errors in the drawing, which should not be there if draw by official art as reference, and offical artist approves the point through.
