    I'm assuming the thumbnail is separately defined within the image file (or my eyes are too shit to see that it's pixelated too), and the image itself is "censored" to encourage you to buy the full version.

    I wouldn't say your eyes are shit but yes, it's just that resized down so far it's less obviously a thumbnail from a pixelated image. If you open its thumbnail and the others in different tabs and flip back and forth it's much easier to see what's up.

    Yeah it's just mosaic instead of a crop, I know another artist that does something similar with only the head area in normal resolution.
