if anyone is interested there seems to be a lot of previous works uploaded on here that now have higher quality public releases available.

The issue here is that Redgifs converts video uploads to a SD 480p and HD 1080p version. Even if the source material is only 720p.

I've grabbed the 720p sample (17,4 MB) and uploaded it to Redgifs here:

It now is a 1080p video of (19,6 MB)

It also wouldn't make sense for an artist to make a 720p version with watermark, a 1080p version with watermark, and a paid version that has no watermark. Too much effort. Idemi has also been very consistent with calling the free versions "720p" in all their Tweets.

Redgifs is a valid source, but it's very low on my priority list especially when there are Mega, Catbox, or Dropbox links available because then you can be sure there is no resize/compression nonsense going on.
