It would be terribly sad if Hungry Nun had to do the deliveries, there being no one other; I know they used to send kids to work early back then, but she's smol.

Well, that would explain why most of the technology in this verse looks... "old"... maybe the nuns like retro stuff? (I kinda wonder how the economy in the little nuns verse, outside of the cookies (which are just centered in the Monastery) economy, is going on around the world?)
