It's...surprisingly, methodological and realistically functional, aside from the spiked mace (which is far too long to be swung even with half-swording) and the warhammer bit that's slightly too long.

I thought a bog-standard longsword is already pretty much this. Except actually usable.

All the weight would be in the blade and it would make it dumb and exhausting to swing for no real advantages

Well, have you looked at the so-named 'swiss-army knife'? They're BULKY as heck and it will only increase as you add more functions. Equivalent exchange still stands-to obtain more you need to sacrifice more.

And most swords of that age are made to bash, not to cut anyway. Plate armor, chain armor and tower shields are things especially made to prevent sword users from damaging you. Extra weight means extra lethality, even if it means exhausting you faster if you can cut enemies down in less swings it would ultimately balance out.

At least the real one has the hammer head near the tip of the blade. There is no way you can use it with the hammer head being the guard. It is just too awkward.

Have you never heard of the Mordhau? It's literally the same thing.

You know, something like that would have been an expensive custom order. Whoever sent it from her homeland spent a lot of money on it, or is a smith themselves
