That's not how refraction works. what happens is the light is bending around her which is why she's invisible. she's basically a "Void" in space the light is wrapped around. That's how cloaking devices in science fiction works.

She said 'invisibility only covers her exterior' meaning it would be some kind of forcefield, meaning the light was not only bent as is but contained through a medium or channel and then passes around her body until it escapes the area of influence. If light is just merely 'bending' around her you won't be able to see the inside of her shirt since most light would be blocked by the fabric that touches her body, and you won't be able to see anything from above if she wears something like a tubetop.
