What I like about these two is in their descriptions it states that they found their respective armor and adapted it to their evolution. Meaning they found regular old human armor and fused with it in order to become a new Pokemon. That's an intriguing little tidbit.

I mean, there's already a precedent for that kind of evolution (Zacian/Zamazenta gets new form when using their Sword/Shield equipment, Rotom gets new forms after possessing appliances) but if there's a population of these Pokemon, it means in the olden days their spawning point was a battlefield, a museum, an old noble house with many armor decoration, or combination of all three.
