Cover corp has always (AFAIK) used that copyright notice with "2016" no matter when the work was actually created and/or published.

Copyright notices always use the year the company was founded or the product was originally released. Azur Lane always uses 2017, which is the year the CN version went live. 2016 is the year Cover Corp was founded.
