Not a requirement but a consequence of closing yourself studying ancient texts without any interaction. Except for spiritual, dead nor mystic summons.

The same applies with heavy studies involving unpopular topics like Star Trek universe races, Pokemon breeding, D&D LARP or Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments (they even oblige bathing to participate).
