Oboro-chan broke the rules just once to go see her classmates, but because she had become a shipgirl and regressed in age, no one recognized her. Since then, she managed to clear her doubts and move on.
Later, when a life-sized panel of her was displayed at the Sasebo Naval District Festival, her former classmates contacted the base saying, 'Please let us meet her just once.' However, she had the Admiral reply on her behalf, telling them, 'You have the wrong person.'
And so, she swore an oath to never lose and to survive no matter what.
