I can tell with the DN style they were going for Misa, but with the "cool" look, Wriggle's got a serious Kira-vibe going for her.

Yeah, I thought so as well. Good call on the Misa though; I haven't read DN ever since the ending of the first major arc so I guess I forgot already and was wondering where the resemblance was beyond the hair.
