I would have suggested maybe her defenses are too imposing, but we all know she's like a fortress with gates that don't even close. Not really any better than the bikini elf, there.

Baalbuddy: Bikini armor would be a legit strategy if you had insane life-regen and toughness but your armor didn't have auto-repair, and it was cheaper to just tank hits with your flesh and fight semi-naked than get new clothes.

If you had insane life-regen, a legit strategy would be to discart anything that has "armor" on it, as long as hits are non-lethal (no 1HKO's or there's "low health save", that prevents 1HKO's), or you playing damage-mitigation tank (dodge, def-buff, parry, kiting, advanced aggro control and stuff), in other words - non-armor tanks/"hit-absorbers".

I don't mind, bikini armor and plate are equally sexier. What bothers me is that after politely hearing someone argument about that and just rolling with that, that person starts with the realism argument to try to get a gotcha. And if we're applying that a dragon puking flames will cook alive you with bikini or with plate, like a fried egg in an old iron pan without butter.

Even if you can regenerate, elemental o racial mitigation is a good thing to have, even the increasing life point in a fixed number becomes a worthy investment.

Personally I'm into light leather armor, few metal bits here and there. Kinda like Raphtalia's armor.
