When you wear this helmet, you can strike fear into the hearts of your foes, be they undead or miscreant scum, and smite or slay them while still looking good.

The undead would not care because they are....well....undead.

But certainly eneny warriors might take fear, because gold-decorated armor signified a warrior of high standing. Though as the practice
of ransoming was common in the Medieval Ages, it was probably NOT a good idea for a warrior to be too decorative with their armor, as it could invite low-ranking knights andlow-born common soldiers to always attack you in the hopes of gathering that rich ransom.
