So this is referencing one of Super Creek's inherent debuff Skills, 幻惑のかく乱 or "Glamorous Perturbation" as some translate it as.

But that only works on racers behind her, not in front of her...

Dunno why you'd go with 'glamourous' for 幻惑, since it doesn't technically need anything to do with glamour at all.

I wish I could play Umamusume, but needing a VPN and not being fluent in japanese are challenges I can't take right now.

But it does get in the way, like, I don't know the name of the skills, so those references go right over my head.

Honestly, no idea. It's just what it's listed as in one of the big Umamusume fan guide websites, like this.

Hooo boy, so many of those skill names are translated incorrectly; they even made Golshi's skill of 不沈艦、抜錨ォッ into 'Unsinkable Ship, Anchored' when 抜錨 means entirely the opposite, weigh anchor.

Not really anymore. I can play in both in mobile and DMM without the VPN problem.

Oh, hey. It works on my mobile.
It seems the problem was trying to play on an emulator.

Still, if I were to try playing a game in japanese, I'd have to at least drop one of the other games I'm playing.
Maybe I'm addicted to those games, it doesn't help that there is a nice community of players around here in Danbooru.

If one goes with the archaic definition of "glamour"/"glamer" (visual illusion that "charms" people) then it's spot on. But "glamorous"/"glamourous" is confusing, yes.

Probably some ESL translator on Gametora saw 幻惑 translated as glamour/glamor/glamer semi-frequently in fantasy works (including on some skill names in games, possibly), and then converted it into an adjective without realizing the usual modern meaning of the word "glamorous".

No excuse for Gold Ship's "anchor aweigh!" though.

I just lost my money invested in the game.
I played for a few days, got hooked and spent a bit (read, "a lot") of money to get Meisho Doto.

Then suddenly, the game closed and now it gives me a "This game is not available in your country" message whenever I try to start it.
To say this has bitterly soured the experience is an understatement...

I tried asking for a refund, but I'm not hopeful.

How are other people playing the game, in the end, after all?

And how will I keep enjoying the fanart without being bitterly reminded of this event.

That sounds like a problem VPN can fix rather easily. Hard reset your modem/router if you're using one, or clear all internet connection settings from your phone, to be safe clear Playstore and Googleplay data, then set up a VPN.

That mostly happens if your country impedes a IP-ban to the game server, so you can also try running it with emulator on PC.

May my rant remain as a testament to the suffering caused by overthinking and not paying attention.

It was all my fault, I'm the only one to blame for all my suffering and for bothering you guys.

There was a mandatory update this morning. It couldn't be done by the Play Store for obvious reasons.
I just had to update via Qoo App.

That was ALL I had to do.

I am so ashamed by my inflammatory reactions right now.

Though really, if you're going to play it on PC, the DMM version is much better than an emulator. (Running in Unity natively and all that.)
