The only regret that I didn't extented it to full course (I've got high edu. grades and that shortened service time), because of my already established position and "civilian side" circumstances.

When you feel, that you speak in the militarisque to walking uniforn and, specifically, to the rank on it - congratulations, you've got enough professional deformation to think that there SO little people around to care about for your comfort, also there's legit "society financial support" and it is somewhat hefty one (free meals, a cot to sleep, clothes, fun activities etc).

No, not really. I'm still as anti-social, unmotivated, and generally unpleasant to be around as I was back then. About the best it did for me was teach me how to get away with it by appearing professional, and I learned that from my bosses. That and benefits. So many benefits.
