This doesn't look like the Ultra Mother design I'm familiar with. Is it intended to be a fusion?

The Ultraman manga is very different from the toku from what I understand of it. The characters use power armor based on Ultras as opposed to fusing with them like the main series, so the designs are generally different and changed to be more mechanical.
