Yannow, come to think of it, the fact that AugMech pilots are often Augs themselves is a lucky coincidence in translation (both use different kanji in the original).
In terms of pure combat ability, she's only around third best at most in Banshee Squad (by her own admission).
What she truly excels at is her ability to survive. No matter what happens, she can always find a way to survive and complete the mission.
