Can you think of a game where a double-tab weapon was considered the best sniper option?

In all my pvp experience it was ru:Warface around '12-'13, before firerate fixes for semi-auto guns with very high rate (~150-200/300 on stats) and before bolt-actions got ability to knock down for non-lethal shot. That is, if talk about "double-tap" vs. "bolt-one-shot".

Battlefield 2:Project Reality mod has "sniper kit", that is comes with faction's high-power scoped bolt action rifle, but it is so limited and has high skill bar for it's intented purpose (long range and high priority targets elimination, advanced gadgets). BF2:PR requires quite a long time for "stabilization" before shot - up to 8s. And then there's "Marksman" kit (and main "sniper" role in it's spiritual successor "Squad") with DMR's, which, with some exceptions, are standart issue (battle)rifles with better scopes and bipods. Latter allow tight follow up shots.
In these games players downed from two shots on average from standart issue intermediate caliber assault rifle within medium (100-200m) range, anyway, so "sniping" with most basic rifle is common occurence.
I dunno if that's case for ArmA games - no experience in it.
