Not really. In the novel, he really did put up fried tofu in front of his shop to attract Yukari to do some trading (albeit indicrectly through Ran), but it didn't really work since Ran just stole the fried tofu.

um why would this be ruining the glorious moment? didnt rinnosuke mean that to happen? or am i missing something? either way this still doesn't seem like ruining the glorious moment. i'll let you guys decide since i'm kind of new and don't want to mess with stuff when i don't know nothing about anything.
Probably it was meant for Yukari ruining Ran's glorious moment (which should mean Goddamit Yukari should apply as well) but other than that, I'm as lost as you are.
