It is if you are actually trying to bind someone so they can't get away, though "bondage" doesn't usually imply that sort of mundane pragmatism.

What I was trying to get at is that this bondage is pretty much purely for aesthetic purposes. In the sense of "there ain't gonna be no penis getting in that vagina with all that stuff in the way," this is totally impractical. And her mouth is far to high to enjoy, and her hands are rendered utterly incapable. So in terms of the dude having any sort of physical enjoyment that isn't self-induced, it's rather impossible (or at least really uncomfortable and possibly dangerous) in this position.

that IS the point, she's like a piece of furniture, or a sculpture. shibari's not always about intercourse, and even still, there's an awful lot that someone could still do to her that she'd be hopeless to resist.
