I still wonder lore wise, who the hell though to design a mecha like this
If I remember correctly, Rune/Lune didn't like the design of the Valsion that her father designed for her so instead he created something closer to her liking (and maybe based on her appearance a bit) for her to pilot. I think there was also a joke about Dr. Bian being a bit of an otaku, so maybe he was more of a fan of the magical girl/mecha musume ascetic instead of Lune herself. It's been a while so I could be off on either.
I guess if my laptop can run a PS2 emulator again I can play through the new fan translation of Original Generations.
