Maribel is heavily implied to be Yukari.
Renko, on the other hand, is just Sumireko's descendant. They can't be the same person because of the radically different abilities.

i have always thought that... Merry could neither be Yukari's "nobody", or just a safe-case scenario for yukari if something bad happened. Or, another boundary youkai that is still in the development stage...?

As for Renko, she's just Sumireko's ancestor... (since we don't know if she's her daughter or grandaughter because we don't know how far their future is...). but speaking of family relationships, i wonder if renko would manage to somehow get Sumi's powers, or are the powrs and family bloodline two diffferent things?

First off, Renko is a descendant of Sumireko, not an ancestor. Secondly, special abilities don't seem to run through blood in Touhou. Jo'on and Shion are siblings, and their abilities are complete opposites of each other. Shizuha and Minoriko are also siblings, and they have different abilities entirely.

While I used to think that way, right now I belive that ZUN wouldn't make it that obvious. Something I wonder is if they, Mari/Yuka & Ren/Sumi, will ever meet themselves? Couldn't their stories be a prequel to YukaSumi's adventures? Mostly because they're from the "future", and their events tend to be so earthly, yet they manage to keep their club.

Something tells me that, to understand ZUN, you must first understand David Lynch.

Saying that, this kinda makes it feel more of a timeloop, of some sort... I mean, if Merry is past Yukari and Renko is Sumi’s future, wouldn’t that mean that Gensokyo “vanished” in the time that Renko and merry lived, yet also alive in the times where Sumi lived? And if that was the case, wouldn’t that means that Merry “somehow” traveled to the past when she became Yukari, created Gensokyo and stuff, wouldn’t that be possible, right?

Right here we have a case similar to Twin Peaks. When you combine dreams, we have the best reference for a case like this one; or you could catch it in a Persona way. But after all, the whole god thing and the outside that revolves around the lore is something that we don't know to much... Yet.
