A few questions from a guy who doesn’t play Arknights:

1. Is Peterheim actually a school, or is it more ominous? I know that the Ursus faction is pretty messed up, so it’s not beyond the realm of possibility.

2. Has Guin Guin ever said anything regarding Kal’tsit in his Arknights setting? Because IIRC Kal’tsit is pretty integral to Projekt Red, and it would be guaranteed fluff for Grandpa Doctor and Grandma Kal’tsit to dote on their adopted grandkids. And the crossover with Mama Springfield and Mama Hoshou would be epic as well.

1. Peterheim is an actual school. Iirc, it is Zima and Leto's school. Rosa and Istina were brought there from other schools.

2. Mentioned here but I don't think he delved much into their relationship. Perhaps in the future?

Peterheim is the school where most of the bad stuff regarding the Ursus Student Group happened. Essentially many students were forced to stay within the school area while the Reunion sacked the city and eventually the students started infighting due to food shortages and class conflict. I guess it's kind of like a "Lord of the Flies" situation?

"Lord of the Flies" was about school boys reverting to state of savagery when deprived of civilization and authority figures. They had the resources of the island, which was plentiful, but they acted like idiots and devolved into infighting when it came time to decide what to do.

One boy died in a fire they started that went out of control. One boy was murdered by the entire group when they thought he was a monster. The third victim was murdered when the protagonist tried to reason with the rest of the group after they'd decided to follow the biggest boy on the island. And they were just about to murder the protagonist when the royal navy arrived to rescue them.

There's more nuance involved, of course. The third victim, for example, was the smartest and most intellectual on the island, but he was a bit short and fat, wore glasses, may have had asthma. He didn't command any respect whatsoever...and he had his head crushed by a boulder on a whim. The character was obviously intended to represent the higher brain functions of human beings, how they're often taken for granted and underestimated.
