I loved the Game Gear, but that's still a major design flaw. And the battery pack I had for it died years ago, so I'm now just tethered to a wall to play Tails Adventures and Sonic Chaos.
I would love for Sega to come back, but not the Sega of now. Back in the day they were awesome, but since Sammy took over, they've really been releasing pieces of shit.

That may be the case as it stuck to the roots of gaming while the playstation ultimately changed things.
Hard to say if Sega will ever return, particularly with questionable actions taken by the company, particularly how badly SoJ sees its American branch.
