Self-uploads aren't allowed on Danbooru.

The following things are not strictly against the rules, but they have a much higher chance of being deleted than normal. Uploaders should be careful about uploading these things, and approvers should be careful about approving them.

Not against the rules, but generally yes, we don't want artists uploading their own art here.

From howto:upload(which needs to be rewritten):

• Firstly, artists tend to be biased when it comes to judging the quality of their own work. What looks good to you may be regarded as mediocre to Danbooru moderators.
• Secondly, allowing posting of own work (self-posting) will cause a sudden spike of sub-par uploads as users mistake us for another Pixiv or Deviantart, far beyond the scope and capacity of Danbooru

Simply put, Danbooru was not created as a place for artists to share their art like on Pixiv/DeviantArt/ect. Self uploads can be accepted, and there's 31 pages under self upload -staus:deleted but it's really not something we want to encourage.
