In fact all the the skulls look suspicious.

Well, there's a skull in a wooden bucket, a skull with black velvet rabbit ears, a skull with a blue morpho butterfly, a skull with a unicorn horn that has a star on it, and a skeletal forearm in a cornicello. They each refer to some familiar character. I'm not sure why there is an Aperture Science faulty space core.
