What happened?

Basically, during a recent stream, Towa went out for a bit but forgot to mute her mic/earphones, and two male voices could be heard. Towa quickly makes an excuse that it was staff. Later on, Towa makes an apology stream for lying about that, and after consulting with the company she has decided to take a one week break.

There was fan outrage because male voices could be heard on a virtual youtuber stream?

Well, I wouldn't say it's complete fan outrage. Most of the outrage is from the toxic part of the fandom, and trolls.
