Five years ago, I would have approved with NVidia.

Now it's a lot murkier since, you now, the last gen of AMD are at the very least useable.

Ya know, newer AMD GPUs are not as shit as the old ones. Been rocking RX480 since 2016 and I had no issues with it.

I've not had great luck with either I had R9 280X burn up on me, which I then replaced with a GTX 1060, which ALSO burned up on me and now we're onto a RX 580. Meanwhile the positively ANCIENT GT 8800 in my closet keeps laughing as it comes out seemingly like once a year for two weeks to keep my computer running while I figure out which GPU company's slot machine I want to play next.

I mean, I have an MSI R9 270. It's not bad, for GameCube emulation at least. If you're looking for raw power, then you buy an Nvidia GPU, but some people have a tight budget...
