What kills me about this is technically she wasn't gonna be an actual playable character, but a background image. Yeah, the point still stands that keeping her out is nonsense but imagine the outcry if she had actually been confirmed to be playable before she got the boot.

I mean, they could've given her something like a bodysuit or leggings to prevent pantyshots.

But CERO was always strict. They also didn't want that Palutena and Peach were in Sm4sh, so Sakurai's. team had to made slight adjustments to both their designs. Some would say they got censored.

Hell, Bayonetta got censored to hell and back and she still is Bayonetta in mannerisms. And Zero Suit Samus is basically a walking fetish.
