It makes sense to ask. There are innumerable amounts of starships but there is (at any given time) only one death star.

Those stayed in service into the Empire era. And the Death Star canonically had some docking bays that were large enough for "cruisers" of an unspecified variety (ie Tarkin's cruiser that he declined to evacuate on). So it fits well enough.
