That looks silly. I admit to never having been a girl in a public toilet, but it still doesn't seem like a good way to use it.

IIRC there are signs in Asia telling people not to do this. Apparently it seems like an OK idea when you are used to using the eastern squat style toilets, though I can't imagine how.

Ah, I see how that might work. It's like some of my grandma's family in the countryside, who refused to finish and use the WC, even though it's been designed into the new house, and continued to use the outhouse. That's what they've been doing forever; having the toilet in the house just didn't fit in the mental model of the world they had.

Shes not sure how to use the western toilets..

I'm a guy, but I remember growing squatting in a similar fashion when I'm taking a shit on those kinds of toilets. Except I'd be facing the other way.

Isn't this the best position when taking a dump?
It relaxes and opens your lower muscles, so it's more effective.
